As a midwife and mother who has successfully breast-fed my three children, I cannot emphasize enough, that mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding is key to helping it to happen for you and your baby.

La Leche League meetings are free and open to anyone who would like to learn about or teach others about successful breastfeeding techniques.

I encourage all expectant parents to attend La Leche League meetings while pregnant.  This is a way to become familiar with the places and people who can help you after the birth, so you are not scrambling to find them, or intimidated by meeting them for the first time during the vulnerable and transitional period of your postpartum, when you may need the most support.

If you are a successful breastfeeding mother, your participation in LLL Meetings is just as important!  You are an accomplished breast-feeding mother who can help others achieve their breastfeeding hopes and goals!

Please contact your local La Leche League and join!
